It is working as designed.
Autodetection of hardware is a project on its own and we just do not have
the resources available to work with this.

On the otherhand, most people who actually use DL, want the complete
control over their system. If you want something messing with your distro
and settings things you're not in control about, then you can use any
mainstream distro.
