What is going on here? I had the same problem in one installation awhile ago. DL was working as the firewall with DHCP and DNS to the inside network. I used dnsmasq instead of DHCPD + NAMED/BIND. Inside network got the IP and DNS ok, DL firewall worked "perfectly". Everything was ok on the inside, but DNS was not working there. I could surf the net and read email with IP numbers. It turned out to be my mistakes in /etc/init.d/firewall.rules, ie. the iptables script. Once that was fixed, DNS also worked on the inside network. /K |
