Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, barsnick just announced version 443 of Less on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: The search behavior was changed to also include the target (top) line. The option "-A" was added to allow reverting this behavior. The "%F" prompt format string was added for showing only the last component of a file's path. Editing a command can now be exited with Ctrl+G. Handling of long options was improved, The percentage calculation for very large files was improved. Several minor bugs were fixed. Project description: Less is a program similar to more, i.e. a terminal based program for viewing text files and the output from other programs. Less offers many features beyond those that more does. For instance, it allows backward movement in the files as well as forward.
