mhash is a thread-safe hash library implemented in C, and provides a
uniform interface to a large number of hash algorithms (MD5, SHA-1,
HAVAL, RIPEMD160, TIGER, GOST). These algorithms can be used to
compute checksums, message digests, and other signatures. The HMAC
support implements the basics for message authentication, following
RFC 2104.

Linux-VServer allows you to create virtual private servers and

server. Each virtual server has its own user account database and
root password and doesn't interfere with other virtual servers.

lftp is a sophisticated command line based file transfer program.
Supported protocols include FTP, HTTP, SFTP, and FISH. It has a
multithreaded design allowing you to issue and execute multiple
commands simultaneously or in the background. It also features
mirroring capabilities and will reconnect and continue transfers in
the event of a disconnection. Also, if you quit the program while
transfers are still in progress, it will switch to nohup mode and
finish the transfers in the background. Additional protocols
supported: FTP over HTTP proxy, HTTPS and FTP over SSL. There are
lots of tunable parameters, including rate limitation, number of
connections limitation and more.

A bug that happened when sar tried to read a datafile created while a
least one processor in a hotplug CPU system was disabled was fixed.
Support for keeping sar logfiles for more than one month was
improved. The new variable "conf_dir" now enables the user to specify
a sysstat configuration directory (this variable is used by
"configure"). The "--enable-compress-manpg" option was added to
"configure" to enable the user to compress manual pages during
installation. isag (Interactive System Activity Grapher) was
improved.

Project description:
The sysstat package contains the sar, sadf, iostat and mpstat,
commands for Linux. The sar command collects and reports system
activity information. The sadf command may be used to display data
collected by sar in various formats (XML, database-friendly, etc.).
The iostat command reports CPU statistics and I/O statistics for tty
devices and disks. The mpstat command reports global and
per-processor statistics. The information collected by sar can be
saved in a file in a binary format for future inspection. The
statistics reported by sar concern I/O transfer rates, paging
activity, process-related activites, interrupts, network activity,
memory and swap space utilization, CPU utilization, kernel
activities, and TTY statistics, among others. Both UP and SMP
machines are fully supported.

L7-filter is a packet classifier for Netfilter that identifies packets
based on application layer (OSI layer 7) data. This means that it is
able to classify packets as HTTP, FTP, Gnucleus, Kazaa, etc.,
regardless of ports. It complements existing matches that classify
based on port numbers, packet length, TOS bits, and so on. Combined
with Linux QoS, it allows for full layer 7 packet shaping.

DLT/LINKTYPE has been added for carrying FRF.16 Multi-link Frame
Relay. A new DLT and LINKTYPE value have been added for ARINC 653
Interpartition Communcation Messages, A429, and for CAN v2.0B frames.
DLT_CAN20B and LINKTYPE_CAN20B have been redefined. Support has been
added for DLLs on Cygnus and MingW32. There are minor bugfixes.

functionality. CUPS adds network printer browsing and PostScript

world printing under UNIX. It includes an image file RIP that
supports printing of image files to non-PostScript printers. A
customized version of GNU Ghostscript 7.05 for CUPS called ESP
Ghostscript is available separately to support printing of PostScript
files within the CUPS driver framework. Sample drivers for Dymo,
EPSON, HP, and OKIDATA printers are included that use these filters.

lftp is a sophisticated command line based file transfer program.
Supported protocols include FTP, HTTP, SFTP, and FISH. It has a

the event of a disconnection. Also, if you quit the program while
transfers are still in progress, it will switch to nohup mode and
