Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, kostecke just announced version 4.2.5p167 of NTP on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: This is an automated development snapshot release. Project description: The Network Time Protocol (NTP) is used to synchronize the time of a computer client or server to another server or reference time source, such as a radio or satellite receiver or modem. It provides client accuracies typically within a millisecond on LANs and up to a few tens of milliseconds on WANs relative to a primary server synchronized to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) via a Global Positioning Service (GPS) receiver, for example. Detailed history and release notes are available here: http://freshmeat.net/projects/ntp#release_298454 If you want to change your subscription to this project, please log in to: http://freshmeat.net/account/subscriptions Best regards, freshmeat.net |

Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, barsnick just announced version 4.4.0 of gcc on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: Many optimizer improvements were made. Version 3.0 of the OpenMP specification is now supported for the C, C++, and Fortran compilers. "Uninitialized" warnings do not require enabling optimization anymore. The experimental support for the upcoming ISO C++ standard C++0x was improved. Several new targets and target specific improvements were introduced, while several old targets were obsoleted or removed. Many bugs were fixed. Project description: The GNU Compiler Collection contains frontends for C, C++, Objective-C, Fortran, Java, and Ada as well as libraries for these languages. It is a full-featured ANSI C compiler with support for K&R C as well. GCC provides many levels of source code error checking traditionally provided by other tools (such as lint), produces debugging information, and can perform many different optimizations to the resulting object code. Detailed history and release notes are available here: http://freshmeat.net/projects/gcc#release_298422 If you want to change your subscription to this project, please log in to: http://freshmeat.net/account/subscriptions Best regards, freshmeat.net |

Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, mmartinec just announced version 2.6.3 of amavisd-new on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: Loading of a policy bank based on a client's IP address is now implemented. Spam checking of long messages is now possible by passing a truncated message to a scanner. DKIM and DK signatures are passed intact to SpamAssassin 3.3 even when a message is truncated. Support for spam scanners other than Mail::SpamAssassin is now available by using a @spam_scanners list. CRM114 is now supported, either as a SpamAssassin plugin, or by directly calling it instead of or in addition to SpamAssassin. External spawned programs can now be used as spam scanners, currently supported are CRM114 and DSPAM. Project description: amavisd-new is a high-performance and reliable interface between MTAs and one or more content checkers, including virus scanners, and/or the Mail::SpamAssassin Perl module. It talks to an MTA via (E)SMTP or LMTP, or by using helper programs. No timing gaps exist in the design, which could cause a mail loss. It is normally positioned at or near a central mailer, not necessarily where the user's mailboxes and final delivery takes place.
