There seems to be a problem with syslog-ng. When syslog-ng restarts
(kill -1) it closes the unix-stream sources ('/dev/log') and create a
new one (the documentation states that de unix-stream are keep-alive by
default). The result of this that all programs currently running are now
unable to log anymore.=20
For the moment I have the following workaround.
1. Switch back to syslogd
2. Added a parameter to syslogd -a /var/run/log (see attach
/etc/init/syslog include also a small bug fix).
1. Changed to jail script so a hard-link is created from
$JAILDIR/dev/log to /var/run/log PS: it is not possible to use link to
/dev/log because of different file systems).
