Hello, is it possible to use a harddisk after fdisk, mke2fs and mount /opt instead of the lvm way described in the manual? I need to use apache2, mysql and samba in the future. Is this only possible with lvm or did it also work in the way above described? Oliver -- DSL Komplett von GMX +++ Supergünstig und stressfrei einsteigen! I did not use LVM on other systems and need to interchange the moveable harddisks in case of server hardware problems. So every HDD should have the same filesystem. You don't have to use LVM if you don't want. Just use the fstab like in any other system, of course you have to make sure first, that all the mount points exist. -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |
