[Devil-Linux-discuss] Migration to 1.2RC6

  I'm migrating from 1.2; while the system loads old firewall rules , it doesn't find /usr/lsmod.
Another question: which files of  the old configuration do i have to copy in new configuration compliant with 1.4RC6.
I also noted that when openvpn is enabled, it is loaded before firewall and the firewall goes in error because it 
doesn't find tun0 interface, so i have to change symlink in rc3 and rc5.

Hey, 

I just checked my config and openvpn is loaded after the firewall. 

Don't use any of the old scripts from /etc/init.d , except the firewall.rules and boot.local. 

lsmod moved to /bin . 

You can simply find the new location by executing: which lsmod

  Sorry Heiko,
I wrote wrong.
OpenVPN starts after Firewall, so in my experience Firewall doesn't find tun0 interface up and stop to load its rules.
So i changed the symlink in rc3 and rc5 to change the starting order. I changed KXXFirewall in K99Firewall and 
SXXFirewall in S99Firewall in both directories and now it's ok.
is it only my problem ?

As a workaround:

add 'tun' module loading to '/etc/init.d/boot.local'. Tun devices will be
created before firewall rules applying and openvpn will not be unshielded (even
for a short period of time).

That's a very good idea. You could do the same in the firewall.rules  
file, before you try setting up the rules.
