Hi, are there any plan to include Dovecot 2.0.x in the 1.4 release? After a long beta phase dovecot 2 should be usable for production, or not? Udo |

I was contemplating about it, but didn't do it yet since it just recently got released. On the other hand, dovecot has always released pretty stable software. Any opinions on this? But 2.0.2 is released, so the most will work without problems (i guessed). And there a good changes with version 2 - so it will be nice to get the features in 1.4. BTW. there are some changes in the config-files, so it will be better to change the config-files on a devil-linux update between 1.2/3 to 1.4 than between 1.4.1 to 1.4.2 (only for instance). Udo |

I just checked in the dovecot 2.04 update into CVS. It'll be included in the next RC. Hey, It seems dovecot v2 doesn't play nicely with our glibc-2.5.1. The auth process keeps segfaulting on libcrypt-2.5.1.so I can try and get it resolved with the dovecot developers, but that'll mean further delays of DL 1.4RC6. Do you guys want me to rather switch back to dovecot 1.2 ? Hmm, bad news... i think it's better for all to get the RC6, than for some people to get dovecot 2. Perhaps there is a chance in RC7? Thanks again for the good job! Humph - I think we need a freeze. App updates are never ending. How about going for a release. There's always 1.4.n to look forward to. Dick -- Dick Middleton di...@fo... PGP Key ID: 0x9F9434FD |
