I have question: does Devil-Linux 1.2.14-i686-SMP support SATA HDD?
I have server with MB Intel and SATA HDD ST380817AS 80Gb, but DL cannot recognize any HDD...
Thanks for help.
Best regards, Anton

The problem is that mdev (busybox's realization of udev) can't detect hardware
correctly and load appropriated kernel modules, so you have to do it
"manually". There are two possibility to do it:
1) to keep config file on usb flash drive and add modules you wish to load into
2) a bit more complicated way, but it allows you to not use usb-drive
to modify initrd in such way to keep only necessary modules there and load _all_
modules in the initrd.
There is a script which can help you to do it - install-on-usb from DL 1.3
I guess you need to load ata_piix and libata (at least for 2.6 kernel).
