[Devil-Linux-discuss] S-ATA support and/or newer kernel

Hello,

some time ago I asked for S-ATA support.
IMHO this problem can be solved by using a 2.6 kernel.

We are running more and more into the problem of having no IDE drives
but S-ATA drives, so we either have to workaround or use different
solutions.

So is there a foreseeable estimate for the 2.6 kernel (or a support for
S-ATA drives)?

Serge was working on the DL 1.3 (which uses Kernel 2.6) and created a list
of things which have to be fixed.
Time is a bit of a problem right now, so it would be helpfull if more
people would grab the dev environment and help working on it.
