[Devil-Linux-discuss] Bandwidth Limitation for internal (DHCP LAN) Users

Hallo,

Is there any way to configure Bandwidth Limitation for Shared Access  - 
or over Squid Proxy ?

Background Info:

1 x Shares ADSL Line WAN Access
3-5 Internal Users by DHCP LAN

If 1-2 users are using eMule or downloading like crazy, then no needed 
traffic (eg: Mail Downloading, Skype, ...)
will be available for the rest of the users ... :-/

Thanks for Infos, Feedback or any suggestions. Would be nice, to switch 
to Devil-Linux ;-)

This website is a good start: http://lartc.org/
DL should have all the required components.
I think shorewall (which is included in DL) also supports traffic shaping.

I've just run "The Ultimate Setup For Your Internet Connection At Home" 
script - the HTB version (see section 15.8.3 in HOWTO on above site) and 
it works (DL 1.2.11).  I mean the script doesn't fail. Whether it does 
what's wanted is another matter ;-)
