Cacti, is a PHP front end to RRDTOOL. It requires a web server and PHP to =
function correctly. I don't think you really want to put that much =
overhead on a DL firewall.

Personally I use DL because there are so little processes running.

If you were going to monitor, I would think you would want a separate =
machine running Cacti ( http://cacti.net/ ), JFFNMS ( http://www.jffnms.org=
/ ), Nagios ( http://nagios.org/ )or some other data collection software.

If you have a extra machine lying around you might want to try this, even =
though it's a dead project.

It's called Sentinix and has Cacti, Nagios, and some other useful =
utilities built into the distribution. I have one of these boxes running =
and it monitors just fine. Might give you a idea of what you like, then =
you could build your own system on a more recent distribution like SuSE, =
or Slack.
