These are distro specific configurations. Debian for example, uses them.
They're just include files; separates out the common parts of a pam file.
No reason why you can't do the same in DL. Empahasis on the *you* since DL
doesn't provide default configs (unlike other distros). Several of my DL
configs are copied, more or less, from Debian.
