[Devil-Linux-discuss] DL+ndiswrapper

Hello list,

some months ago, a DL support for ndiswrapper was mentioned (see
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=13708284 ).

So far however (correct me if I am wrong) ndiswrapper hasn't been
included.

Is it still in the 'roadmap' ? Does somebody have the
ndiswrapper-enabled pre-release that was mentioned in that email (that
would save me from rebuilding the whole system)

I was hoping to get a chance to add it, but didn't get a chance yet.
There's not ETA, I didn't even get to the patches other people sent in...

[Devil-Linux-discuss] Linksys PCMCIA card problem...

Hello list,

I have some trouble with a Hisense wireless card, which mounts a Linksys
INPROCOMM IPN 2220 chipset.

I successfully included ndiswrapper in the DL boot cd, but now I got
stuck with another problem. When I insert the card and run lspci, here's
the output:

pcilib: Cannot open /proc/bus/pci/03/00.0
lspci: Unable to read 64 bytes of configuration space

Since there is no /proc/bus/pci/03 directory, I understand why the
command complains.
My impression is that there is some kernel parameter to tune, but I have
no idea which. 

Does somebody have some hint ? I just don't want to burn 20 CDs trying
blindly :)

I think I know the parameter, but can't remember... :-(
Do a
grep PCI .config | more
in the Kernel source directory, maybe you find it.

CD-RWs work well in this case. ;-)

Just in case somebody has the same problem, it's an issue of pcmcia-cs
with 2.4.x kernels.
I simply disabled it and recompiled the kernel with pcmcia support, and
now the card is working like a charm :)
