Try using an old version of cdrtools, something around a10 (or go through the changelog and check which version we had before and try that). Maybe that helps. -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |

Hi, I followed the instructions at http://www.devil-linux.org/documentation/1.2.x/ch03s02.html in oder to build a custome lightweight DL 1.2.x iso from source. Hi, is there any specific reason for removind openswan in the upcomind DL release? CHANGES in 1.2.x-cvs: - removed openswan I see that strongswan was added. Do we have to expect any problems with our existing ipsec openswan configuration when updateing? Would it be possible offer both ipsec implementations? Thanks Didi |

Hi there,
I took a look at a clean new build of DL 1.2.14 and 1.3.4.
The EnableSendfile and the EnableMMAP are turned of by the =

Hi,
i tried to use the apache2 on Devil 1.2.{9|13} to build a very simple
(static file) web server and failed...
The reason was, that the sendfile system call apparently causes trouble
on Devil-Linux.
There is no real problem with this, but could this line be uncommented
inside the default apache config to avoid the trouble?
It took a long time to find out, what happened:
EnableSendfile off
Thx,
Martin

Hi, I'm new to the list but I've been using DL for a couple of years. One of my clients bought a new machine with a Biostar P4M890-M7 SE motherboard. I've managed to boot from a pen drive but the /etc/init.d/setclock script hangs executing hwclock. I've added the --directisa parameter which I know is useless in this architecture. Then the hwclock command compalins about the parameter but the scripts continues. The problems are that the keyboard doesn't work, so I can't login and of course I believe I don't have a running clock. Any ideas? Best regards, -- Ernesto Silva. Hello,
I wanted to switch the OS on a router (PC) from Win98SE to Devil-Linux.
Everything was going fine, until I started 'pppoe-start'.
"............TIMED OUT"
I think, that the problem is the NIC, which seems not working.
The following two NICs are built in the PC:
"Compex RL2000A Adapter" (WAN, PCI)
MAC: 00-80-48-C2-8A-81
"3Com EtherLink III ISA 3C509b-Combo" (LAN, ISA)
MAC: 00-A0-24-87-3A-37
As I read on some sites in the WWW, I need the ne2k-pci driver for the RL2000, and the module is loaded, but not used...?
Btw: The 3C509 works fine, ping and SSH in the LAN are working.
He just don't use the ne2k-pci driver and I don't know why...
Can anybody help me (apart from proposing to buy a new / use another NIC)?
Thx,
Martin

Help? The interface won't be bridged (you have to specifically set bridging up (which is completely different to routing)) and without you configuring the routes and firewall rules, there won't be any routing of the traffic. The file /etc/init.d/firewall.rules controls the firewall. Did you enable one of our default firewall scripts? You will have to adapt them for your setup. -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |

Yesterday I thought, lets see if layer7 support is fixed in the latest
