I have a pretty simple setup: IPtables, DHCP, and Postfix (only used for
outgoing). The machine I run this on is a Pentium II 400Mhz with 64MB of
When I run procinfo (after the machine has been up and running, it tells me
for memory that there is 61112 Total, 57244 Used, and 3868 Free. (It also
indicates [if it is important] 1080 for Buffers and 46440 for Cached.)
When I run df, I see:
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
shmfs 41943040 19560 41923480 1% /shm
Now, here are my questions:
o If I'm reading the df output correctly, does that say it is using 41
GIGABYTES for shmfs?
o Do we potentially have the shmfs incorrectly sized? Would that return
additional free space?
Note: My goal is to enable ClamAV and SAGATOR. When I tried it, I ran out
