[Devil-linux-develop] vlan support for network startup script

[Friedrich L. <fl...@fl...>]

Hi!

Just checked in a network script (for Devil pre 0.6Beta1, but might work
on 0.5 too) that supports vlans. Get it by clicking on:
   http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/devil-linux/build/config/etc/init.d/network?rev=1.15&content-type=application/octet-stream

Example config files:
  ifcfg-eth1.sample - http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/devil-linux/build/config/etc/sysconfig/nic/ifcfg-eth1.sample?rev=1.1
  ifcfg-vlan100.sample - http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/devil-linux/build/config/etc/sysconfig/nic/ifcfg-vlan100.sample?rev=1.1

Feedback from users that try it out is very much welcome.

Routing? You added support for routing?
Cool! I was about to write a routing script before releasing 0.6, but
that's done now. :-))

As soon as I get my damned notebook back on my damned wireless network,
I continue preparing the release. Btw. stay away from 802.11g under
Linux, it just doesn't work yet!

Yes, but that might need some more testing though. Try it out and
give feedback - as always ;-)

You're welcome.

Ok, will stay at 802.11b.

BTW Thomas Eder is working on running DL as wireless access point.
