This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.01a24' of
'cdrtools' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information
can be found at
http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/
The changes in this release are as follows:
This version adds a workaround to allow suid root installations to
work again on Solaris 9. It fixes a bug in the Mac OS X low level
SCSI code. There is the first experimental SCSI SPTI support for
Windows NT. This version also fixes a bug that prevented cdrecord
-toc to work on CD-ROM drives. The cdrecord CUE sheet handling code
now includes PATH search. A bug in mkisofs Rock Ridge handling that
caused an endless loop in multi session mode under some conditions
was fixed.
Project description:
cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs with a CDR/CDRW
recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. It
supports CD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc-
and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features
include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data
CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CDRWs (rewritable),
TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes
remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD writers.
