I was thinking the same thing and I trying to automate that, but I can't seem to make it work. If I could go directly to the URL in lynx (or links) I could redirect it to a file and format the output. Except I can't make either text based browser go directly to the link because I'm not logged in, and I can't make them remember my login. Anyone know of a way to send a login to sourceforge with wget or curl? It's a form based login, not a popup/authentication login. :-( - BS |

It then rips out all the ads and other unnecessary columns, removes all the links and input boxes, and creates an HTML file of just the summary info. Keep in mind, this is just the summary page (one line per request). You cannot click on a request to get a more detailed description. That's not going to happen (from me anyway). This could be run in a cron job daily and the output make available somewhere. The question is: where ? Heiko: Would you like me to send you the script and you could put it on the devil-linux.org server, or would you rather I stick it on a web server of mine somewhere? - BS |

I setup a cron job to run daily and update a static copy of the sourceforge.net feature request summary on the devil-linux web site. You can view it here: http://www.devil-linux.org/dlfr.html It's not linked from the devil-linux.org page, and it won't be unless Heiko does it, or asks me to do it. (so bookmark it! :) - BS |

Unfortunately you have to have developer access. That's the way sourceforge works. :-( Heiko: Is there any way to add someone to the DL project without CVS access so people could browse this kind of stuff? Or would it cause other problems and be a maintenance nightmare? If we could make a read-only user on sourceforge without CVS access, we could maybe post the user/password for everyone to use?
