This email is to inform you about the release of version '1.0.0-pre4' of
'BusyBox' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can
be found at
http://freshmeat.net/projects/busybox/
The changes in this release are as follows:
A major rework of sed was done. A new, tiny bunzip2 implementation was
created. Support was added for 2.6.x kernel modules. Many other
sundry cleanups and bugfixes were made.
Project description:
BusyBox combines tiny versions of many common UNIX utilities into a
single small executable. It provides minimalist replacements for most
of the utilities you usually find in GNU fileutils, shellutils, etc.
The utilities in BusyBox generally have fewer options than their
full-featured GNU cousins; however, the options that are included
provide the expected functionality and behave very much like their
GNU counterparts. BusyBox provides a fairly complete POSIX
environment for any small or embedded system.
