This email is to inform you of release '1.11a39' of 'cdrecord' through
freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at
http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/
The changes in this release are as follows:
This release includes a small fix for a libscg patch from Linus
(O_NONBLOCK doesn't work for Linux-2.2), a workaround for a Linux
kernel bug (CDROM_SEND_PACKET returns wrong EINVAL), a fix for a
Cdrecord bug with Yamaha AudioMaster and CD-Text (wrong TOC start
time), the rewriting of padsize=handling to make it work correctly,
and verbose printing now orthogonal for all situations. The option
-immed now includes an experimental feature to support drives in
notebooks that are on the same IDE cable as the hard disk. A mkisofs
bug with -f (follow symlinks) was fixed.
Project description:
Cdrecord creates home-burned CDs with a CD-R/CD-RW recorder. It works
as a burn engine for several applications. Cdrecord supports CD
recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc and ATAPI/mmc
compliant drives should also work. Supported features include
IDE/ATAPI, parallel-port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and
mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CD-RWs (rewritable), TAO, DAO
and human-readable error messages. Cdrecord includes remote SCSI
support and can access local or remote CD-writers.
