[Devil-linux-develop] update

[Heiko Z. <he...@zu...>]

Hey,

I just updated my server at home and really like the new update program
from Bruce.

2 things would be cool ( if doable ):
- keeping the selections after you choose "help"
- being able to choose to keep a entire directory and all sub-dirs and files

I agree.

Unfortunately neither are doable with the dialog program. (I've tried)

When the help button is pressed, dialog loses all settings and does
not pass them to the script so I can reset them. :-(

I do mention something in the startup message, warning the user of
this limitation.

Not an option with dialog. :-(

Crap!

We could try to patch dialog, but my C skills are very (very) limited.

Yeah, I could, but I think there are other things that my time would be
spent on now (like dialup networking and adding feature requests).

After the first half-dozen updates, you get in the habit of looking
through the list and clicking "help" on items you're not sure of,
BEFORE you start selecting files. :-)
