Howdy !

I'm just setting up a DL box and thought let's test the setup program.

The only thing I found so far is this:
- modules e100 and e1000 missing in network card module list

OK and the software and config part needs more "help text".

Otherwise: COOL !

I see those two (and only those two) modules are in a different
directory. I'm currently only listing the modules found in:
  /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/net

Why are those other two modules all by themselves in:
  /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/net ???

I'll add that location. Any other place I should be looking too?

Yup. :-)

Thanks!

We need more people to beat on it so we can catch stuff like this.

I would like to, but why is the latest test compiled for a i686? I don't
have a i686 for testing :-((

Have you already solved the problem with the keyboard layout
listing? The german layout was missing!

Hum, didn't know that. But it's there now! :-)

I just committed the fix, along with the missing network modules fix.

Resume beating on it ... and keep me posted.

I don't know (since I haven't compiled any of the ISO's available for
download). But I agree, test releases should be compiled for a broader
platform range.

What do you have for testing?

Would compiling for a i586 work for you?
Is there anyone out there still running a 486 or 386???
How low should we go?

I'm thinking of making my own ISO(s) available for download on some
local servers I admin here in the USA.

Yes, you are my one!

I think i586 is ok.

Can I get a copy of the latest .config used for compiling the testing
ISO's? Or tell me what to select (or not select).

I'm currently only compiling a small subset of available software
to save time, and I'm not sure if everything else is ready to go.

Thanks,
