Update of /cvsroot/devil-linux/build/scripts/configuration/help In directory sc8-pr-cvs4.sourceforge.net:/tmp/cvs-serv12048/scripts/configuration/help Added Files: Tag: rel-1-2-patches dspam.help Log Message: added dspam --- NEW FILE: dspam.help --- CONFIG_DSPAM DSPAM (as in De-Spam) is an extremely scalable, open-source statistical anti-spam filter. While most commercial solutions only claim a mere 95% accuracy (1 error in 20), a majority of DSPAM users frequently see around 99.95% (1 error in 2000) and can sometimes reach peaks as high as 99.991% (2 errors in 22,786, as with one particular user). DSPAM presently functions as both a server-side agent for UNIX email servers and a developer's library for mail clients, other anti-spam tools, and similar projects requiring drop-in spam filtering. DSPAM has been implemented on many large and small scale systems with the largest being reported at about 350,000 mailboxes and is presently being used or planned for use in multiple commercial spam filter solutions. DSPAM is a dedicated statistical filter and in being such provides higher accuracy levels than commercial "hodge-podge" solutions, and with minimal resources. DSPAM has managed to achieve nearly equal levels of accuracy with present-day Markovian-based filters and other types of filters that employ large feature sets with the added benefit of using a significantly fewer amount of resources. DSPAM's best recorded levels of accuracy have included 99.991% by one avid user (2 errors in 22,786) and 99.987% by the author(1 error in 7000) , which is ten times more accurate than a human being! |

Update of /cvsroot/devil-linux/build/scripts/configuration/help In directory sc8-pr-cvs1.sourceforge.net:/tmp/cvs-serv10938/configuration/help Added Files: aide.help awstats.help curl.help logwatch.help nut.help rrlogind.help scponly.help Log Message: oops, looks like I forgott to check in a few files --- NEW FILE: curl.help --- CONFIG_CURL CURL is a command line tool for transferring files with URL syntax, supporting FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, GOPHER, TELNET, DICT, FILE and LDAP. Curl supports HTTPS certificates, HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password authentication (Basic, Digest, NTLM, Negotiate, kerberos...), file transfer resume, proxy tunneling and a busload of other useful tricks. --- NEW FILE: aide.help --- CONFIG_AIDE AIDE (Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment) is a free replacement for Tripwire. It does the same things as the semi-free Tripwire and more. --- NEW FILE: logwatch.help --- CONFIG_LOGWATCH Logwatch is a customizable log analysis system. Logwatch parses through your system's logs for a given period of time and creates a report analyzing areas that you specify, in as much detail as you require. Logwatch is easy to use and will work right out of the package on most systems. --- NEW FILE: awstats.help --- CONFIG_AWSTATS AWStats is a free powerful and featureful tool that generates advanced web, ftp or mail server statistics, graphically. This log analyzer works as a CGI or from command line and shows you all possible information your log contains, in few graphical web pages. It uses a partial information file to be able to process large log files, often and quickly. It can analyze log files from IIS (W3C log format), Apache log files (NCSA combined/XLF/ELF log format or common/CLF log format), WebStar and most of all web, proxy, wap, streaming servers, mail servers (and some ftp). --- NEW FILE: nut.help --- CONFIG_NUT The primary goal of the Network UPS Tools (NUT) project is to provide reliable monitoring of UPS hardware and ensure safe shutdowns of the systems which are connected. --- NEW FILE: rrlogind.help --- CONFIG_RRLOGIND rrlogind is a complete implementation of the authentication protocol used by Time Warner Cable's Road Runner and the Media One cable modem services. --- NEW FILE: scponly.help --- CONFIG_SCPONLY Scponly is an alternative 'shell' (of sorts) for system administrators who would like to provide access to remote users to both read and write local files without providing any remote execution priviledges. |
