[Dev-C++] file names

hello everyone. just a quick question. i want to write a program that 
searches throught filoes within a directory (just like that find program in 
windows).
  all i need to know is how i can get my program to retrieve the file names 
within the directory.

i really need to know so anyone that can shed anylight would have my thanks.
