Dev crash after scrolling through code

Maybe a problem?.
When i have my code in the dev editor, and after scrolling a number of times, something happens : Text looks funny in the editor and dev has crashed. Looked into the reason, states that a fault that dev created in USER.exe. Have tried saving between scrolls with no change. Has anyone else had this problem, maybe know what is wrong, or what i may be doing wrong. I have dev version 4960. Got dev a week ago, found the forum.

  Go to tools, check for updates and run the updater -after it kicks off running, shut dev down, and update to the newest dev.

  Thanks, i downloaded a new copy of dev and it is working fine without the crash i talked about before.
  Something i did ? i donn't know.
