Hey I was just wondering. I know you guys use Delphi to program Dev-C++, but couldn't you use DLL files then update the DLL files instead of having to update the whole exe program???

DLL is a bad idea unless you are writing plugins. Why does everybody complain about updates anyways. People should realize that they are fortunate enough to have people who actually care to fix their things in the first place.

All of a sudden we have lots of daily complains from unknown users about vUpdate problems. Strangely, none of the regulars has any serious problem with it (something that forbids them to actually get the updates).
I got low reply times and full stability to the update server even thou im like on the other side of the world.
That is Conspiracy. Charlie style.
vUpdate works, its a great software, its free.

The thought about complaining about the updater is something that has never even existed in my mind. I love DevC++. Only editor (other then JED in Linux) that I'll use, vUpdate is a beautiful little side-kick.

I was getting updates easily on my laptop dialing out through explorer, Now my laptop is on the network, I can still get on the internet, but get an
error message in vUpdate. it states Error invalid address. Cant get selfupdate.ini Error invalid address. Error server temporarily down?

Long shot: Is there a proxy on this network?
If so: Open vUpdate, 'Options' button, Check 'Use Proxy' Checkbox, fill proxy data (Server, Port), hit OK, Close vUpdate, Open it again, try again.
If not: Tell me to shut up.

I have same problem, can't connect to the server, even through vary proxy servers and shut down the firewall. Is it possible to tell us the server URL and let us use browser to test whether it's DNS or other problems?
