Colin indicated he was working on a release that would allow 2.95.3 or 3.2 to be used at the users choice.
Note: A lot of the add-on packages are compiled under 2.95.3 and break when compiled under 3.2. And if you search the forum here, you will find a lot of complaints about 3.2 creating larger exe sizes. That said, I use 3.2 with my Cygwin. :-) I have now told you far more than I know!

will mingw 2.00 release ever be incorporated into dev c++. because it containg GCC 3.2 which is more optimised for faster processors

I can't get wxWindows to compile under 3.2 :/ Everything else I use works great though.
