full version 5???

    Hi,
    the DEV-C++ IDE is the best  on the world. I'm only a beginner, but I have tried many other programs.
    I'm want the full version 5, when can I download it? If I can I would help you but I haven't delphi and can't program it.

      Make sure you get the 10 megabyte + version, not the exe only.

      I think he means when will Dev-C++ break out of Beta version... there is none as of yet, to my understanding via the news, and I'm guessing there are still a few buggles to be patched by the programmers...

      Colin indicated several weeks ago that the next major increment release would include the option to choose gcc-3.x or gcc-2.95.3 - users option.  That is all I know about the future.   Nothing about schedule.

      3.x series, particularly 3.1 and beyond, is a very nice evolution in gcc.  It is more standards compliant, and, when set up with the right options for a machine, it is significantly faster.
