...you know you could compile them yourself... but anyway... you might want to dl 2.95 in the mean time... someone will have to compile and test a package on 3.2... then someone will have to make the package itself... and test it somemore... might be a while... may not ever happen considering how often it is complained that 3.2 file size is to large...

You know, one of the strengths of the open source environment is that you DO have the freedom to try and modify/compile stuff on your own. Hey, the worst thing that could happen is that it won't work. Don't let yourself slip into thinking like a Microsoft customer, i.e. you passively wait to get things. Who knows, you might learn something.
If the packages matter to you a lot, I would stay at 2.95 for a while. The 3.2 version is in the birthing process, so let it grow a bit.
