Do I need a special program installed to read the help files?
When I hit F1 it loads up the help viewer but gives a message saying it can't read the format.

OH, OK, you are using an old version of the compiler, to help folks help you, why not upgrade to the newest version, that will let you use VUpdate and get all sorts of neat stuff.
The newest version you can download from the dev site is in the 4.9.6.x series.

p.s. This is why you should report what version you are using when you ask a question about how to do something with it. I *should* have asked that question too...waynesaputz

Dumb question. Did you get the help file stuff. It does not come with the base release, you have to work through the Tools:Update to get it.

Thanks for the response. But where is Tools:Update? I'm using Dev C++ v4.01
I've looked over this site but can't find any help file 'stuff'.
