    I am trying to use PlaySound, and know that I have to link to libwinmm.a.

    The question is EXACTLY how do I do this?

    Thanks

      just curious... read the other thread got me wondering... when you ran vupdate... it left it so that the start button was grayed out... okay... did you have an error in the stattus window (something like "bin not found [...]")... if so then see

      try that... in fact... try that for the fun of it... let us now what happens...

      Also, where do you put -lwinmm on Dev 4?

      Thanks

      I got it!

      -lwinmm in Project options>Further object files or linker options

      #include <mmsystem.h> in the program

      Found it on MSDN, and now Charles Petzold's proclaiming Welcome to Windows 98 on my machine!

      Actually he's saying Welcome, Windows 98! But hey, he's saying it!
