Ok i installed bloodshed with no problem however whenever i try to build ANYTHING whether it is one of the sample projects or cout<<"Hello world"<<endl; it won't build. In the lower window it just says "unable to run program" that is it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Wayne's dumb question number 1: Did you download all of the development environment (10 Mb download), including MingW, or just Dev-C++ (called executable only and having a size of about 1.7 MB) by itself? You had the option at download.
Waynes dumb question number 2: What version of Dev did you download and where did it get put (path)? Notice this is really two questions.
btw - dumb is a property of Wayne in this question . :-)

Go forth and have fun with it. Read this forum often, and when someone has the same problem as you, hop in there.
There is also a Gerry Springer aspect to this board which you might find entertaining.
There is also the humor of my all-too-frequent mistakes, booboos and gufows.
