Hi,
I just had the same problem, after installing Dev C++ Beta version.
Besides this message, it seems that Dev C++ does noth find the include files.
Do I need to install GNU in my Windos Vista system ?
Do I need to set the PATH variable to point to ... where ?
Where are the include files required to compile a simple .c program ?
Thank you for any help ;-)

Someone just got flamed for asking that question, and you decide to post it in any case! Is this stupid day or something!?
As you can see from the post timestamps, having asked the question, he took only two minutes to find the answer and report that he'd found the answer. How do you think he managed that? Perhaps he read the "PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING A QUESTION" thread after he posted the question.
Note that the "PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING A QUESTION" thread includes:
1) A solution to the known problem of getting Dev-C++ to work on Vista
2) An explanation of the "There doesn't seem to be GNU make file in PATH...", and its solution.
3) The information you need to post when asking a question so that we don't have to ask, and you get a quicker more accurate answer.
Basically you have Dev-C++ but you do not have a toolchain - not just the make utility, but the whole compiler/linker toolset. Basically you downloaded the wrong package. If you wanted a compiler to go with Dev-C++ you should have installed that version.

Despite being rude, your message was very helpful.
Thank you for your time to write it.
It helped a novice user (both for Dev-C++ and Source Forge foruns) to solve the problem.

Hi, I' m a complete beginner and once I' ve downloaded the freeware, I tried compiling a code for the first time and it did not work at all.
Here' s the message I get when i open up Compiler options, should be pretty easy to resolve I reckon:
CONFIRM:
"There doesn't seem to be GNU make file in PATH or in Dev-C++'s Bin Path. Please make sure you have GNU Make and adjust Bin setting...."
The message is longer, I would take a screenshot but I don' t know how.
PLZ Help, thanks.
You passed the test! Completely disarmed the rude guy with a polite and calm response, thus gaining respect. ;-)
Rudeness born of frustration at the number of people that want to be spoon fed answers that have been given many times before.
Good luck.

Nevermind, plz delete, thanks a lot
Wow, it seems that you found the answer in less than two minutes. Perhaps you should have spent that time researching before posting!

You would have really thought what I almost posted to be very rude. Fortunately,
I type slow and self-edit. :)
Clifford has given more to this forum that just about anyone here, including me.
Read what he writes, you will learn a lot.
