Hi, I'm new on this forum and just starting out with the C++ language and Dev-C++ compiler. Is there any step by step tutorial available on how to install the latest boost C++ Library (build 2.0-m12 September 30, 2007) to work with Dev-C++ ? I don't see any 'Devpak' for that version yet. Thanks.
Regards,
Eugene

Since I know some PERL and C, and I am not really completely new to C++ programming. In my original question, I did ask (it is in my "Subject" as well), how do I install the Boost Library to Dev-C++? The lastest version is indeed 1.34.1, so how does one go about installing this to Dev-C++, since I do not yet see a "DevPak" for it? The instructions on the Boost website seem a bit confusing. Is there a tutorial on this? Thanks.

I really want to have the Boost Library so that Regular Expressions can be utilized in Dev-C++. Please, if anyone knows, step-by-step on how to install the latest Boost Library, I would appreciate a reply. Thank you. :-)

On devpaks.org you can find
Boost v.1.33.1 (2006-05-13 08:39:11)
Use Tools -> Check for updates/packages.
If devpacks.org does not appear in the combo "Select devpak server"
first check for updates in the primary server.
As an alternative you can go directly to
http://www.devpaks.org/details.php?devpak=127
take the devpak and install it manualy.

O_o
You are "just starting" with C++ and you want to use 'Boost'?!
I am pleased.
I am shocked!
You are wrong...
You do not need 'Boost.Build'.
You do not want 'Boost.Build'.
You want the the 'Boost' library.
The latest version of the 'Boost' library is 1.33.
'Boost.Build' is a special 'build' system.
'Boost.Build' is not the 'Boost' library.
The 'Boost' is not 'Boost.Build'.
'Boost.Build' is not compatible with Dev-C++.
Soma
sigh
That should have been 1.34.
