I try to execute devcpp, but nothing happens (this is the first time I've tried to use bloodshed dev-c++).
I have win98 and if I try to launch it, when I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL, I see devcpp in the list of apps running, but it never opens a window. If I try to end the task, I get the message that the application is not responding.
I tried uninstalling and downloading and installing the mingw version with the same problem.
I have win98
Any ideas? (besides reinstalling my OS :) ... or upgrading)
Anyone else had this problem or am I the lucy one!?
Gary
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Just found that it would launch from my cygwin bash shell but not through explorer.
$ /cygdrive/f/Dev-Cpp/devcpp.exe
I thought I had tried this before, but I guess not. If the compiler paths are not setup in the ini file, the devcpp hang? I would assume that running from bash shell, devcpp can find the executables.
