strange problem with compiler/assember

Hi,

I am having a strange problem. I am trying to compile a code in Dev-Cpp. Everything works fine for several times, and the .exe file is fine.

However, after a couple of runs, the compiler just gets stuck - without producing any error messages. Stopping manually the running gcc.exe and as.exe sometime helps, but sometime not.

Uninstalled Dev-Cpp an gcc and removed (as far as I can) all traces of them from the disk and the registry, and reinstalled DevCpp again. Did not solve the proble,

I am wondering if anyone has encountered a similar problem?
Any help or suggestions will be very appreciated!
