Example path: C:\Programm Files(x86)\DevCpp\ has brackets but is a valid one on Win7 x64.
You are unable to install it to this path, but should be able to.
You are wasting your time, Dev-C++ is not actively developed. It is a known issue with Dev-C++ and the prohibition from installing in paths containing spaces is intentional to avoid issues that parts of the GNU tool chain have with such paths. The "Read First" thread in the Dev-C++ forum explains this.
