The LDFLAGS definition does not look correct, you have a typo there too. Will need to try it on a mac, but why not using the cocoa gui and build with xcode?

Well, the cocoa frontend currently does not work on Mountain Lion. Uploaded the fixed patch (tested on OS X 10.6)

Are you sure you haven't patched src/cli/main.cpp too? the ehck GL/gl.h fails on my snow leopard so i can't see where HAVE_GL_GL_H could be defined.

I'm on vacation away from a mac ;) What does it happen if you _only_ move the AC_PATH_XTRA before the GL check?
