I downloaded the iso from your website on my windows
machine, burned the iso, and booted my bsd test drive
using the install CD Rom, this went fine, no problems at
all. The installer said that the OS and supporting
system had installed ok, even though it did not like the
drive geometry as reported from the bios, and asked for
the reboot. upon reboot (with the CD Rom removed) the
OS kept rebooting and continued to do so even after re-
installing multiple times using every conceivable
combination of options.
Below is a summary of my system's hardware:
MSI dual Intel P3 processor Mbde
Dual P3, 1 GHz processors
2 1/2 Gigs of PC2100 Ram
ATI All in Wonder Radon 9800 graphics board
Samsung SyncMaster 930b Flatpannel
Soundblaster PC512 Sound board
The test drive was a WD 6 Gig HDD
V91 Fax/ Voice/ Data modem
10/100 nic
MS Natural Keyboard
MS Wireless Intelemouse Explorer 3.0
and a SanDisk Card reader (that mounts all 4 slots as
HDD's)
I thought you folks would like to know about this so that
you can fix the problem before you take the project from
RC2 to stable. My friend who is VERRY big into BSD
says that you are using BSD v-5.4 on this project, could
this (with its attendant problems) be the reason for this
situation??
