Something that I would miss if I jumped ship from vimwiki, is the quick creation of date-based pages. E.g. I type \w\w to get a page for today, and <backspace> to go from there to a page with links to all existing date-pages. <c-up> and <c-down> go to previous/next pages by date.

Does viki have any calendar integration?

Does viki have any calendar integration?

      Not directly.

I personally use a code snippet (namely a tSkeleton bit) to created
dated log entries in a master index.

If you're referring to calendar.vim, you could define a backcall that
      opens a diary entry (:h calendar_today or :h calendar_action).

I don't think such a feature should be integrated in viki.vim. IMHO viki
      already is big enough.

I see vimwiki's calendar functionality uses calendar.vim (I didn't even realize this, or forgot it already). When I open a :Calendar, I see it linked to the vimwiki pages corresponding to dates. I'll examine how do best use this with viki.
