#13 Denyhosts not sending suspicious login emails

Alright, I'm hoping this is the best place to put this that will get recognized, especially if others are hvaing this problem.

I have spent the better part of a week slamming my head against the wall trying to figure this out.

I have installed denyhosts and gotten it working just the way I had it a few years back. It worked like a charm for me ; and then one day it quit working (I changed distros, and some config files broke).

I had quit using the machine as a server so denyhosts wasn't high on my priority list to fix. Now I need it working again as the machine is going to have some ports open to the outside.

I have now reinstalled it and tried to get it working, set my working directory (/usr/share/denyhosts), config file, daemon-control, the whole nine yards.

I have set my entire internal network as an allowed-hosts. I WANT to get emails whenever anyone logs in, regardless of allowed-hosts or not; so I set the suspicious login report to YES. However, the only e-mails I'm getting are when someone is denied access. and I don't know why.

Like I said I've been slamming my head against the wall for the better part of a week to get it figured out; and I'm at an impass with it. So I need assistance in getting e-mails on ANY login, which it is not doing (i logged in from my cell phone's network and didn't get an email about a suspicious login as well.)

Is there some odd file that needs to be set that I have forgotten about or what?

I'm running v2.6
/etc/denyhosts.conf = yes
denyhosts.conf suspicious logins on allowed hosts = yes
/etc/hosts.allow = yes
/etc/hosts.deny = yes
/usr/share/denyhosts/data = yes
files in /usr/share/denyhosts/data are: allowed-hosts, hosts, hosts-restricted, hosts-root, hosts-valid, offset, suspicious-logins, users-hosts, users-invalid, users-valid
/usr/share/denyhosts/daemon-control = yes

Again, denyhosts is working, it's sending e-mails on a denial, but none on logins, suspicious or otherwise.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
