Yet another easy to use .deb creator for binary file trees. Many thanks to Ben Heidemann (deb-creator) for the leg up.
Your responsibilities. Create a parent directory holding the POSIX style directory tree with all files required by your project. Fill in the form on the left of the window.
Click Generate Control File. Finalize your control file fields.
Click Create Package to build the .deb file. Since you supply the output directory, dpkg will auto-generate the filename based on the values in the control file.
Use sudo dpkg -i yourdeb to install your program.
Use sudo dpkg -r yourdeb to remove the program.
Once you are happy with the control file content, you may choose Save Config to write the data to an INI file in the ./configs directory. Use File/Open Config to load an existing config into debbin. Currently, extra fields are loaded into the combo box and their current values are shown, but you must add them to the control file manually each time.
