Speech and Debate Timekeeper A timer for various debate formats (Policy, LD, Parliamentary, Public Forum, etc.) and individual events with visual and verbal time signals. Home Page: http://debate-ie-timer.sourceforge.net Building the Speech and Debate Timekeeper from source: A Java SE Development Kit (JDK 1.3 or higher) is required to compile the sources. A JDK is included in Mac OS X. For other platforms, the JDK can be freely downloaded from http://java.com/download. The SuperWaba SDK version 5.85 is also required. It is available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/superwaba. Launch4j is required to create the program launcher for Windows. It is available at http://launch4j.sourceforge.net. An Ant build script (build.xml) is included with this distribution of the source code to automate the building of the binary distributions for the various platforms. The distributable binaries will be placed in the dist directory. You will need to modify the "launch4j.dir" and "sw.root" properties in the build script to the directories where you installed Launch4j and the SuperWaba SDK, respectively. Get Ant at http://ant.apache.org. Notes for building the binaries for PDAs: Building the .CAB installation files for Pocket PC and Windows Mobile is supported only on Windows. The PalmOS creator ID is DbTk. This ID is registered with the PalmOS Creator ID database maintained by PalmSource, Inc. Since January 2009, the developers of SuperWaba no longer provide the virtual machines for Pocket PC and Windows Mobile.
