The current transmitter implementation is not capable of writing samples with an exact frequency. It writes a sample and then goes to sleep for a while. This is an inefficient mechanism. Standard timers should be used for this, triggering a transmitter or receiver action with high precision at a fixed frequency.
The C implementation currently uses real time signals as an experiment, but for Windows, those are not available. A different mechanism needs to be used for Java as well.
