Not bad for a first time at 3d graphics, but then, cubes are not exactly that hard to make :) I'd probably get some better looking textures, and a few more features like something to support the side rails of the wall, like some arch thingies coming out from the wall underneath the railing (I don't know what they're called). You want to be careful about the camera angle, if you notice, the sides are slanted, but they should be straight in order to look right in Dink. Yet, if you turn the angle so the sides of the wall come directly down you'd be looking at the wall as if it were directly in front of you, which just would not look good in the Dink world. I still haven't found a good way to correct that, but I haven't exactly tried real hard. Also, if you want to add damage to the walls make sure the cubes have a good number of polygon divisions so you can make breaks in the wall with relative ease (you can't break a cube with no internal divisions!). Unless of course you want to draw the damage on the wall in 2d when it wouldn't matter. And lastly, if you're just going to show us sample images to look at please send them as jpegs or something smaller in size than a bitmap. Sorry, but I only have 2mgs of space on this hotmail account :P -Striker (One more thing, I just had a disturbing thought; if my e-mail ever fills up, and someone posts a message on the ddmodd list, hotmail will return that message to its sender... which will send the message back to everyone else, including me... creating an endless loop of e-mails. As you can see, this would suck. Hopefully it will never happen, unless I get spammed by a virus with 200k attachments... again.) >ok, this is my idea for a wall thing, probably the main city wall. what >do you guys think?? they still need "features" added, things like battle >damage, fire damage, etc. etc. etc. but i'd like to ask someone else to >do that.
