its just occured to me that we need to get a system going, or this project will fail. we need to sort out NOW who's going to do what, and how its going to get done. then we can work out wether we need another developer or not, and we can also work out release dates. so, below is my model, of the system. PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PZL add your comments: ok, we start with the artists, who are constantly designing more map. on top of this, they are posting (to the list) the building specs of the day (something like "we need a meeting hall, needs to be a couple of screens long, viking style, single storied". this gives not only physical dimensions, but also the style it is in). the artists take this request, and ONE of them creates it, and colors it in solid colors, to indicate building materials. (brown for wood, grey for stone etc. etc.). they then post it in the cvs repositary, fo everyone else to see. the texturer then downloads the file, and textures it, and places it in the final directory. the designers will also have to interact with the texturers, to tell them how they want their buildings to look. from there, the level maker will add the correct lines in the dink.ini file, and will start creating the level which the designers designed beforehand. If any scripts are needed, the scripters will create them. of course, the level maker and the scripters will have to interact a lot. the scripters will make all the scripts, and place them in the cvs repositary, under a predefined name. as i see it, the following people have the following positions: nate and reuben - artists caillan and padarn - designers striker - texturer thomi - level maker Alex and james - scripters. striker no doubt will help out the scripters, as i will the designers and scripters.
