    First of all my sincere appreciation for an excellent program!

    Is it possible to have 2 mx records configured in ddclient.conf for 2 different dyndns domains? If so how?

    I have 2 dyndns domains as follows:
      domain1:
        type=free
        name=domain1.homeip.net
        desired_mx=domain1.homeip.net
      domain2:
        type=paid (custom dns)
        name=domain2.com
        desired_mx=domain2.com

    My ddclient works great updating ip address for both domains. However it only updates the MX record for the first domain (domain1). I would also like it to update the mx record of the second domain (domain2). With my current ddclient.conf, the MX record for domain2 stays empty at dyndns.com

    My ddclient.conf at present is:
    daemon=300
    syslog=yes
    mail=root
    pid=/var/run/ddclient.pid
    use=web
    server=members.dyndns.org
    protocol=dyndns2
    login=xxxxxx
    password='xxxxxx'
    mx=domain1.homeip.net
    backupmx=0
    wildcard=1
    domain1.homeip.net
    custom=yes, domain2.com

    I have searched the forums here but could not find an answer specific to MX records.

    Thank you for your help in advance!

      Update: dyndns.com does not support FTTP update of MX records for "custom" DNS, per e-mail below:

      ---- start insertion ----
      I am sorry but you can not update MX records for Custom DNS hosts, you have to manually
      modify them through our website.  You can do that by going to

      https://www.dyndns.com/account/services/zones/custom/

      and then clicking on your domain.  You will be able to modify all your records, including MX
      records, through there.

      let us know if you have any other issues we can help with.

      ---- end insertion ----

      Also I figured out what was wrong in my ddclient.conf file: the correct entries are shown below (too bad MX record for custom dns cannot be updated).

      daemon=300
      syslog=yes
      mail=root
      pid=/var/run/ddclient.pid
      use=web
      login=xxxxx
      password='xxxxxx'
      backupmx=no
      wildcard=yes
      server=members.dyndns.org
      protocol=dyndns2
      mx=domain1.homeip.net domain1.homeip.net
      custom=yes, mx=domain2.com domain2.com
