Do you have ddccontrol-db instaled?
If yes then check ddccontrol-db version: it must be the same as ddccontrol.

If yes then check /usr/share/ddccontrol-db/monitor... - all paths and files
which you see in log near word "failed"
If files not exists - reinstall ddccontrol-db
if files exist - check ddccontrol dependencies (maybe try to reinstall
ddccontrol and watch any messages about broken dependencies)
